Higher Self

“Hardships clarity
Self-created anomalies
Cognizing thought forms

Elusive purpose
Undeveloped wisdom force
Potency ignored

Root and inference
Antecedent sentience
Empathy impressions

Enlightened movement
Previous paths merge to One
Mind revolution

Gratitude incurred
Benevolence expansion
Higher Self soaring”

  1. Your intentions in this piece aside, I notice there are no references to personal pronouns – no I or We, no singular or plural You, no He or She or They inferred or named in the imagery of the your Higher Self. Is it then your vision of humanity’s evolution that we graduate beyond our self-consciousness into some pure cosmic-consciousness? I do not know who I am apart from YOU . . .

    • Hi Peter….interesting observation….

It is quite rare that I would apply personal pronouns to my writing. Each reader will engage the words differently depending on her or his spiritual depth. I simply provide a perspective based on my own experiences. For very specific reasons, I do not share those experiences. Thank you for the discussion….

      • And thank you for taking the time to respond . . . I think my question was inappropriate since poetry’s aim is to raise questions and not to answer them. Thank you for reminding me of that fact . . . Blessings. I always enjoy reading your posts and will continue to do so.
