Broken Windows

brokenwindowsWPblogCR

“Childhood innocence
Ravaged as a postscript to
Human cruelty

Immured by the
Inveterate anger of
Fraudulent adults

Each splintered and lost
As forever missing shards
Of broken windows

Honor the Children
They once loved freely until
We taught them not to”

  1. Hiya Rob, great piece, although it’s naturally full of pathos. Despite the fact that I don’t have any kids of my own, I feel very protective of children. Whenever I see children out with adults, I tend to look to see if the relationship appears positive – if the child is safe and loved. Cruelty against the innocent and vulnerable (children, animals) is something that sparks my sensitivity. Hope all’s well with you 🙂 Joyful greetings, Sam 🙂

    • Hi, Sam….I always enjoy the presence of your Being. The predators capitalize on those least able to defend themselves. I suppose that’s part of what attracted me to law enforcement for my first career….the ability to intervene. Enjoy the day…. 😉 ❤
