Greater

Immediate moments
Are blurred and abandon
Every certainty while

My consciousness is
Occupied by past and future
Compulsions stubbornly

Taunting with hindrances
To eclipse precision optics
Which could flawlessly

Navigate me along
Uncertain terrains where
Mere thought will

Alter epic destinies
Not yet evident in fictitious
Timelines only imagined

When neglecting my
Inner resolve for Being
A greater purpose

Whereas mindfulness is the awareness of influences, inner work is the management of those influences.

  1. The idea of immediate moments blurring certainty, I can relate. It’s like we try to be present but we always hark backward or forward, and thus, our certainty never depends upon the moment but upon our expectation or our memory of what was, which inevitably taints its truth. So very insightful Rob. xxxx
